Leroy Merlin is one of the largest retailers specializing in DIY, construction, decoration and gardening, with a history of over 90 years worldwide.
The company, part of the ADEO group, owns almost 500 stores in 13 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.
Currently, 18 Leroy Merlin stores operate in Romania, with over 2.500 employees in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Ploiesti, Brasov, Constanta, Sibiu, Suceava, Targu Mures, Bacau, Iasi, Timisoara and Oradea.
LEROY MERLIN opened on August 21, 2020 the store in Boulevard Theodor Pallady, no. 51, the 4th store in Bucharest and the 18th of the network in Romania.
This store has a sales area of 14.000 square meters, where over 30.000 products are sold. The Leroy Merlin Pallady store will have more than 115 employees.
The project carried out by ICCO Systems for Leroy Merlin Pallady is a fire detection and warning installation composed of:
Addressable fire detection central with 6 detection loops (the central is fully redundant);
225 addressable smoke and temperature detectors;
39 addressable fire buttons;
65 addressable modules;
28 addressable fire sirens;
7 suction detection units equipped with ultra-sensitive detectors.
For the installation, 8450 m of special cable for fire detection installations were used (this type of cable maintains the integrity of electrical functions for 90 minutes under the action of flames)
The fire detection central monitors 12 doors and 32 fire hatches and has a software for alarm monitoring.
The total value of the project is 81.000 Euros.
