Continental Novi Sad
In March 2019, ICCO Systems Timisoara won a reference project in Novi Sad, the new equipment of the Pupin Palace office building with Interflex access control systems and Easy-Gate Elite tunics produced by Cominfo Czechia. The project worth over 200.000 euros consisted of the design, delivery and installation of Cominfo and Interflex equipment for all 9 floors belonging to Continental Automotive Serbia. During 2019, the equipment was installed on the upper floors 4-9, and in 2020 the project continued with the installation of the systems on the first 3 floors. The challenge was much greater for the second stage of the project because the installation was done in pandemic conditions. The fellow engineers who traveled to Serbia had to present a negative Covid 19 test and comply with all the safety measures imposed.
For the realization of these installations, the following equipment was needed:
- 18 glass turnstiles ordered by access control equipment
- 4 controllers
- 33 access control readers
- software application
Continental opened its research and development center in Novi Sad in March 2018 and has employed approximately 500 engineers so far. The company operates a factory for the production of pipes and pipe systems for vehicle powertrains in Subotica, northern Serbia. By the end of the year, Continental Automotive Serbia will open a factory near Novi Sad where advanced electronic components and very complex solutions for the automotive industry will be produced.
